Reclaim Your Body After a Breakup
Since it ended, you feel cut off from your own body.
Come back into your body after a relationship ends. Set an intention, let the body open up through stretching, dance the emotions out, then settle and write your way back to solid.

Set one intention
FKA twigs has described MAGDALENE as a work about putting herself first. Before you move, borrow that approach for yourself. This is about coming back to yourself rather than proving anything to anyone else. One sentence is enough.
5 min activityBearmore’s thoughts on doing intention setting before stretching
This can pair well because intention setting may help you slow down mentally, and stretching gives you a gentle physical activity to move into.

Open up the body
Twigs keeps a daily mobility toolbox and reframes the burn of a stretch as hot honey flowing, and not something to brace against. Warm the joints you are about to ask a lot of, and stop short of any sharp pain.
10 min activityBearmore’s thoughts on doing stretching before dancing
This is an excellent pairing because limbered hips and shoulders free expressive range, turning dance into fluid movement.

Dance!
This is the heart of this Burst. Move the feeling through and out, big or small as the day asks.
30 min activityBearmore’s thoughts on doing dancing before body scan
This pairing is especially effective because dance activates every limb, so a scan right after lets you notice physical sensations in detail.

Deep rest
After intense movement the body needs a clear way to come down. Pass attention slowly from feet to head, noticing what worked hard and what feels looser now. A Bearmore addition to close the effort safely: cooling down, not more training.
10 min activityBearmore’s thoughts on doing body scan before journaling
This can be a good pairing because a body scan can surface subtle feelings, and writing them down lets you explore what came up rather than letting it pass.

Write yourself back into the world
Twigs described Magdalene as a meditation on self-possession and finding her voice. Use a few lines for the same: what came up while you moved, and one thing to carry as yours. Write for yourself.
10 min activityTime well spent.
