Turning it Around After Your Team Loses
The come down when the final whistle goes and your team lost.
Regroup after the loss by putting your time somewhere that you’ll be glad you did. A walk in the fresh air, cooking something you’ll feel proud of, then sitting down to eat it without other distractions going on.

Walk outside
Being in natureAfter the final whistle the couch is the worst place to be, so the first move is out the door into the evening air. There is no pace to hit and nothing to prove, just walk and take the long way if it's helping.
30 min activityBearmore’s thoughts on doing being in nature before cooking (mindful)
There's a useful connection here because mindful cooking can carry forward any calm presence found from being outside, though the link is gentle.

Cooking something decent
Cooking (mindful)Giving yourself an activity to get really involved in, is the trick here. It doesn’t need to be complicated, it could be eggs, pasta or something more ambitious but it’s all up to you.

This is an excellent pairing because eating what you've just cooked mindfully completes the full cycle from preparation to nourishment with intention.

A meal with the screen off
Eating (mindful)Sit at the table and eat it with the screen off, no highlights and no post-mortem in the background. This is the part that lets you settle back into an easy and kind evening. You can let the game go and just chill.

About this Burst
This is for that morning, afternoon or evening after your team loses, when you had high expectations and excitement and then it all goes flat. Nothing is going to try and talk you out of the feeling, it’s just about putting your time somewhere you’ll feel glad that you did afterwards. There’s just three activities on the run-sheet: a walk to get you moving, cooking something you choose, and then sitting down to eat it with screens off so you can just concentrate on the food. No fixture, no fandom and no fitness needed, so it fits anyone. It is short on purpose, and you can share it with others.
