Running on No Sleep
You’ve got a full day ahead and you’re dragging yourself out of bed.
Get through a full day after not much sleep, without wrecking yourself. Get out and start the morning with some daylight and easy movement, something decent to eat, and a body scan. All for when you are running on almost no sleep.

Get out into sunlight
Being in natureStart with sunlight and fresh air rather than reaching straight for the coffee. A short walk round the block, or ten minutes on the back step, both count. Keep it gentle: this is not a workout, so leave the pushing for a day you have slept.
15 min activityBearmore’s thoughts on doing being in nature before eating (mindful)
This can be a good pairing because mindful eating continues the grounded feeling from outside, especially when using fresh ingredients.

Nothing but eating
Eating (mindful)On wrecked mornings you might be tempted to skip food or graze whatever is nearest, so the move is to sit and eat something decent. Nothing elaborate: toast and eggs, leftovers, fruit and yoghurt. Have your coffee alongside it, and ease off it as the day goes on.
10 min activityBearmore’s thoughts on doing eating (mindful) before body scan
This is a strong combination because mindful eating already tunes interoception to taste and texture, which a scan extends across the whole body.

Ten minutes to body scan
Body scanBefore the day swallows you, take ten minutes lying down with a guide moving through your body head to toe.

About this Burst
Some mornings arrive after four hours in bed, or two. A newborn who is three weeks old and needs you all the time. A deadline that smashed you the night before. A start so early it barely counts as morning. This is not about fixing your sleep, it’s a small scaffold for getting through the day ahead of you.
